Fashion?

Fashion show for charity tonight, at J's school: a gripping evening of bizarre and frequently unflattering garments, embellished by very school-play like moments of strobe lighting and suchlike. The best moment was the first appearance of male "models" from the nearby boys' school: you could practically touch the waves of hormones vaporising in the audience as they came out on the stage and began dancing (variably). The girls were all extremely similar, with very clean shoulder length layered hair and lovely figures; all very entertaining.
Earlier on, E had played in her first ever away netball match, and miraculously I'd got my act together enough to go and watch her. Very keen, they all were, working like demons to pass the ball to each other: pity that they found it almost impossible to shoot a goal once they were in a position to do so (both teams) - this is a pitfall of playing in the D team, I think (not that I ever even made it to a D team). Anyway, it was nice for them all to get a chance to play for the school, and at least the sun shone on their efforts.
